There’s absolutely nothing I hate more in the world than stealing. I mean, sure, I’d rather people not kill people. And I don’t really like the Disney channel. But I hate, hate, HATE stealing. I don’t really know how to go into it without rambling and not making sense. This is a quote from the book “The Kite Runner,” and I agree with it, but I don’t think that theft is the only sin. Though, when I say theft, I mean the normal version of theft: taking a physical thing that belongs to someone else. Anyways, this is a good line.
“Now, no matter what the mullah teaches, there is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft. Do you understand that? When you kill a man, you steal a life,” Baba said. “You steal his wife’s right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone’s right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness. Do you see?”
